Mixed Media
In a way I don’t see my mixed media work as being wholly detached from my print work. It is all about layers, process and play. I love the variety of textures I can create and the constant opportunity for interventions of all kinds. I want my mixed media work to be drenched in colour and feel exuberant. I work in jewel tones and create hyper real versions of landscapes and still lives, playing with paint, pens, gold leaf and whatever beautiful scraps I have around my studio. For decades I have collected all sorts of interesting paper treasures and my mixed media work is where many of these things meet an audience.
